I am an Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. I have previously held visiting appointments at Princeton and at IESP (formerly IUPERJ), and post-docs at Yale and Princeton. I study Latin American politics, and my current main research project is on the political determinants and consequences of conditional cash transfer programs. My dissertation was on executive-legislative relations relations, and I have also written on political parties,  electoral politics, and on the measurement and meaning of ideology. Below you will find links to text and data from my published and ongoing work. Feel free to contact me with suggestions, corrections, or to request the latest versions of papers not available here.
